The first edition of this work, a very scarce copy rarely seen on the market; only four copies are held in institutional libraries. Complete in three volumes in the original uniform bindings.
Written after the death of the authors husband, this novel by Elizabeth Watkin Williams shares a positive outlook on life and provides an overview of life in England in the nineteenth century.
CONDITION
In the original publishers uniform full cloth bindings. Externally smart with minor shelf wear, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities. Front joint vol. III only starting, holding firm. Previous owners gift inscription to front free endpaper, undated. Internally, generally firmly bound; front free endpaper to title page vol. III loose but present. Minor spotting to occasional leaf, otherwise pages generally clean throughout.
