A stunning black leather armchair very much in the style of a plantation chair.

The frame is really heavy and extremely solid and well made out of Mango Wood.

With  such a lovely curved seat and arms.

Its extremely comfortable and is a really classy and  eye-catching piece.

There is some slight damage to one of the arms so please do study all my pictures.

These chairs, also known as "planters chairs," were popular in British colonial households, particularly on verandas. 

This chair is not an antique but is made very much in that classic style

• Material:

The chair is made of mango wood, known for its durability and sustainability. Mango wood comes from the same tree that produces mango fruit. After about 15 years, these trees become barren and are then harvested for their wood. 

• Design:

Plantation chairs typically have a deep seat, a long sloping back, and armrests. The design allowed for comfort and air circulation in warm climates. 

• Style:

This chair reflects a British Colonial style, often associated with a glamorous overseas lifestyle. The chairs design emphasizes both form and function.
