DESCRIPTION
A complete seven volume set. The first six volumes are dated 1862 and the last volume is dated 1863.
Thomas Hood was an English poet, author and humourist best known for his poems The Bridge of Sighs and The Song of the Shirt. These volumes are edited with notes by Thomas Hoods son. The works within these volumes are organised chronologically and contain some of his best known work.
Thomas Hood was a regular contributor to The London Magazine. Punch and Athenaeum.
With a frontispiece to volume six.
Collated, complete.
With adverts to the rear of volume one and to the front of volume four.
Bound by Leighton Son and Hodge.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some fading to the spines and bumping to the head and tail of the spines. Some marks to the boards. Previous owner inscription to the title page of vol. 1. Binders sticker to the rear pastedown of volume 6 and 7. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages.
