By Richard Kilburne, a lawyer and antiquarian who is also known for his work A Topographie, or Survey of the County of Kent.
This sixth edition was edited and enlarged by G. F. of Grays Inn.
Bookplate of Joseph Alfred Bradney to the front paste down. Bradney was a solider, historian, and archeologist, best known for his work A History of Monmouthshire from the Coming of the Normans into Wales down to the Present Time.
Collated, lacking the front endpaper, otherwise work is complete.
CONDITION
In a full calf binding. Externally, worn. Rear board is held by two cords only. Front joint and hinge are strained. Leather is lifting with some loss to the joints, and a little loss of leather to the head and tail of the spine. Crack to the tail of the spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Light marks and rubbing to the boards and spine. Bookplate and ink inscription to the front paste down. Ink inscription to the fore edge. Lacking the front endpaper, rear endpaper is detaching. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and spotted. Ink inscription to the half-title.
