Written by Edith Mary Pargeter, an English author of works in many categories, best known for her medieval detective series The Cadfael Chronicles, who was also honoured for her translations of Czech classics. Pargeter often wrote under the pen name of Ellis Peters.
Including six volumes from The Cadfael Chronicles, a series of historical murder mysteries, set in the 12th century in England during the Anarchy, the novels focus on a Welsh Benedictine monk, Cadfael, who aids the law by investigating and solving murders.

The Devils Novice, 1983. Later edition, the eighth volume in the Cadfael Chronicles.
The Raven in the Foregate, 1986. First edition, the twelfth in the Cadfael Chronicles.
The Rose Rent, 1986. First edition, the thirteenth in the Cadfael Chronicles.
The Hermit of Eyton Forest, 1987. First edition, the fourteenth in the Cadfael Chronicles.
The Confession of Brother Haluin, 1988. First edition, the fifteenth in the Cadfael Chronicles.
The Heretics Apprentice, 1989. First edition, the sixteenth in the Cadfael Chronicles.
The Piper on the Mountain, 1990. Later edition.
The Grass Widows Tale, 1991. Later edition.
CONDITION
In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light wear and minor bumping to the extremities. Original dust wrappers are unclipped other than The Heretics Apprentice which is price-clipped. Wrappers are very smart with light wear to the extremities and fading to the spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small handling mark and minor age toning to the endpapers. Library ink stamps to the half-titles, title pages, and the odd page.
