Rare Flavio Poli (for Seguso Vetri darte) Murano glass vase C: 1954
Unsigned, any number of Murano studios could have appropriated this design, though the unusual shape and the burnt orange glass body indicate it isnt a reproduction, and the amazing inspired by Veninis Versace series and the technique is very similar., enough for us to list it as a Venini design until we found an almost same example on line.
The vase we found sells for $5000 on Etsy. Both the vase and the other example they found clarify this attribution for us.
* The photo of the bottom is best for seeing the true yellow. The yellow looks a bit iridescent, especially at the edges, which provide the extra ribboning as the example shows.
12"h, mouth is 4"w. and bottom is about 3.5"w. Movement markings slight on the bottom. No issues! This is a striking, unusual,
eccentric tall vase. It is perfect compliment to the mid-century modern, as well as contemporary styles. Beautiful!
